Why is my child struggling?
Most students aren’t struggling because they “can’t do math.” They’re struggling because they’re missing key foundational skills! Those gaps only grow over time. Without identifying those gaps, learning starts to feel frustrating, confusing, and overwhelming.
Your child might be:
-
Getting frustrated during homework
-
Struggling with problems they should be able to solve at their grade level
-
Guessing instead of understanding
-
Falling behind or losing confidence
That’s why I don’t start with tutoring right away.
I want to truly understand where your child needs support first.
Start with The Pathfinder Session
Before we begin tutoring, I identify exactly what your child needs so we can move forward with clarity and confidence.
Step 1: Assessment
The Pathfinder Process
Your child will complete a 30 minute math assessment based on their most recently completed grade to identify strengths and key skill gaps.
I will create a personalized learning plan, called the My Path: Learning Guide. A clear, structured plan that identifies stregnths, highlights key skill gaps, and maps out the next stps for your child's progress.
We will meet for 30 minutes to review the learning plan and clearly outline next steps and the path forward.
